Acrylic Paint and Epoxy Clay on Handmade MDF Panel

Acrylic paint applied with brush and airbrush on a 48"x24" handmade MDF relief panel. The panel is made from 3 layers of 1/2 inch and 1/4 inch MDF that were cut using a jig saw and a scroll saw. The layers were then glued, sanded, primed and painted to create this custom sculptural canvas. Hand sculpted mushrooms made of Magic Sculpt epoxy clay and painted with acrylic paint are mounted to the frame.

Some people take it a step further and continue to explore and reflect purely for the sake of adventure; taking the roads less traveled to the outskirts of reality, uncharted territory filled with excitement, beauty and mystery. Adventures are best shared and the pursuit of passions will lead to companionship and love. This piece depicts an urban landscape scene where a group of friends has gathered on a rooftop high above the city, for a moment of calm and peace from the busy streets below. A young woman, on a journey of self discovery, stares into an illuminated pane of glass while drawing designs across it's reflective surface in contemplation. The group holds space for each other on the quiet rooftop, as they discuss difficult events from their pasts and envision the limitless possibilities and potential of their futures.
